Woman killed in crash on southbound Texas 130 near Manor

A woman was killed on Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in northeastern Travis County on Texas 130.

At approximately 2:11 p.m., Travis County ESDs No. 2 and No. 12 responded to a two-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler near 14200 Texas130 southbound near Manor.

Deon Cockrell, the DPS spokesman, said a woman was driving south in a Honda when she, for unknow reasons, traveled from the left side of the road into the median. She then traveled back onto the southbound lanes and struck a truck towing a trailer.

Upon arrival at the scene, officials found the 72-year-old female. She was confirmed dead on the scene as a result of the crash, they said. The driver of the truck was not injured, Cockrell said.

An investigation by DPS is ongoing.
